Most people know what a nursing home is, and most would assume that it’s the same as a hospice service. While the services provided by a nursing home and a hospice service may be similar, but the two are not the same.

Hospice service is specifically caring for individuals that are not interested in getting cured of an illness or disease that they are currently suffering. Why would anyone choose not to get cured?

Your Power, Your Choice

In life, you will always have a choice. That’s your right living in a civilized society, and we should really cherish it more often. However, in an unfortunate scenario that you are dealing with a disease or condition that is considered by the medical body as “uncurable,” you mainly have two options.

Your first option is to ignore the medical body and start looking for a cure in alternative forms of medicine. First of all, we have nothing against people who take that route. It’s their right, and we respect that. Having said that, there are individuals who like to take charge of how they “go out.” Here’s a hypothetical scenario.

The doctor says that you have cancer, and you have six months to live. With the first option, you can ignore your doctor and go to the jungles of the Amazon to find that miracle cure. For ones that try this route, we honestly want them to find the cure, so no one has to die from the same disease. On the downside, you could use up your last six months, spending all your energy and money, and still succumb. Or, you could take the second option.

The second option is all about taking charge of how you want to get out. It’s all about being a realist and enjoying life to the fullest with the time left. It’s not about running through the jungles to find a cure, but cherishing and enjoying the company of your friends and families and making every minute count. It’s all about doing the things you always wanted to do, but “postponed” because of “life.” It’s all about taking charge. It’s all about deciding to enjoy life to the fullest. This is where we, at Excelcare, can help you with.

Of course, you will still need medical attention, and that’s what we are all about. We are here to check your health status and provide the support you need, both mentally and physically.

Benefits Of Hospice Service

* Sense Of Dignity – at ExcelCare, we respect your choice of wanting to go out with dignity. Our patients will never suffer being hooked to loud machines and poked by medical practitioners for the sake of prolonging life.

* Lesses Financial Burden – it’s no secret that medical bills are expensive, and it’s getting costlier by each passing year. Since hospice care is focusing more on support and comfort, rather than curing and treating, the cost is significantly lower.

* Patient And Family Counseling – part of our service is providing counseling for the patient and family. We firmly believe that when the emotional, psychological and physical difficulties are addressed, then the patient, family, and friends can concentrate on the most important things.
